Tonight was definitely one of those nights that I was amazed at how much was done since my last stop. When I stopped last Friday, the drywall was nearly finished and the orange-peel on the ceilings was finished (that's why the windows and doors were all covered). When I stopped tonight, so much more was done. All of the lights, exhaust fans, and outlets are in (no fixtures yet) so I have power and can now see at night! I'm really glad I added the lights that come on and light the stairs whenever it is dark... very cool! The front columns were installed on the stone bases and the poles built larger on the patio roof. At first, I didn't think I would like having the braces left on the supporting posts on the patio but after they were made bulkier, I love them too. Definitely glad, I left them alone. The garage door openers are now in. The fireplace mantle is in the garage and it looks very cool. Much bigger than I was expecting, which is a good thing! The built-in lockers are also in the garage along with a bunch of other trim. The pool table room is half tiled, kitchen started, upstairs bathroom finished, and laundry room finished. No grout yet. I had forgotten what I picked out, but I think I did good. Cement board is down on the remaining floors that will get tile. We placed the bench and niche in the master shower. I had to move it from where I originally intended because it was too high and decided to put in only one instead of two. I'm not sure how long it will take to finish all of the tile, but he did tell me I have another week and a half before I had to finalize the master shower plans. The wood is supposed to start going down on Thursday. It's all starting to come together!
