HEAT, Insulation, Drywall, and more Siding!

It's warm inside!  It's warm inside!  It's warm inside!  The heat is on and it looks like all of the insulation is in and most of the siding is on.  Drywall is up on the bedroom ceilings and master closet and bathroom walls.  They were working on the master bedroom walls while I was there on Friday afternoon.  I'm amazed at how fast they can drywall a room.  It would take me days to do what they do in minutes.  They thought all of the drywall should all be hung in another 2-3 days.  I met with someone to measure for window treatments and all I have to say about that is shades cost a lot.

Whoops, how'd that get in here?

  1. Will this garage be insulated and heated/cooled?

  2. The garage ceiling, doors, and walls are insulated. I had a gas line ran into the garage so I can put in a vent-free natural gas wall heater... (http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200485121_200485121). It will not be cooled. I asked about running ducts from the furnace and air conditioner out there but they wouldn't do it... said it was very inefficient and had to be separate from the house. The bathroom in the garage is heated and cooled with the house but in order to do that, it had to have it's own footings poured so it would be considered part of the house, not part of the garage... something to do with code I'm guessing.

  3. Actually looked through the whole insulation for some tips on the drywall insulation, and got some I will definitely be checking that. I actually looked through your pictures for reference and it seems like they are done correctly that it could be followed.
